What is a thermal mass flow meter?
The Mass Flow Sensor consists of two sensors. One is a flow rate sensor and the other is a temperature sensor that automatically corrects for changes in gas temperature. The new device consists of two temperature platinum resistors on one chip. A high ohmic resistor is used to measure the reference temperature, while a low ohmic resistor is used as the heater. By using a bridge circuit, these resistors allow different heating values ​​of the two devices to have different resistance values. Self-heating depends on supply voltage, mass flow, and the medium in which the sensor is located. Higher voltage increases self-heating, and higher flow increases cooling. If self-heating is consistently maintained by a suitable controller, the voltage will increase with the high flow rate, so the mass flow can be measured. The KC-2610 and KC-2620EX models manufactured by Golden Rule are state-of-the-art thermal mass flowmeters with state-of-the-art technology and are used for flow measurement of general gas, water, water, sewage, oil and chemical liquids. When installed on site, it maintains 0.5% accuracy. Compared to other manufacturers' products, they are available at a lower cost and have fewer optional features. Thermal Mass Flow Meter Overview
Typical flowmeters are used to measure volumetric flow rates. However, this volumetric flow rate changes as the temperature and pressure of the fluid change. Particularly, when the measuring fluid is a compressible fluid or gas, the degree of variation thereof is very high. To convert this volume flow to mass flow, you can measure the density based on the temperature and pressure of the measuring fluid. By multiplying this by the volume flow rate, the mass flow rate can be obtained. Particularly in the case of gas, compensation for temperature and pressure alone is not enough. This is the case where the temperature is very high or the pressure is very high, which is not enough with temperature and pressure compensation alone, and it is often necessary to compensate for the so-called compression coefficient and the z value. It is very troublesome to obtain the mass flow rate by measuring the volume flow rate and measuring the temperature and pressure. Therefore, it is very convenient to omit the above-mentioned series of processes and directly obtain the mass flow rate. The direct method of obtaining the mass flow rate is usually compressed in two ways: a coriolis mass flow meter for liquids and gases, and a thermal mass flow meter for gases and liquids. Today, there is a rapid increase in the use of mass flow meters for accurate gas flow measurement in various industries. Because current operation cost is needed to be reduced, we are meeting customer requirements with process simplification, accuracy and low price. In the industrial field, gas is also spreading more and more like mass flowmeter of gas (oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, argon, propane, air, city gas, etc.) like liquid mass flowmeter. Description
Golden Rules' KC-2600GI Smart insertion mass flowmeter accommodates the change measurement requirements and instrument-validation demands of inclustrial gas flow monitoring installations. The versatile microprocessor-based transmitter integrates the functions of flow measurement, flow-range adjustment, meter validation and diagnostics, in either a probe-mounted or remote housing. Mass flow rate and totalized flow, as well as other configuration variables are displayed on the meter's opitional 2x16 LCD panel. The programmable transmitter is easily configured via an RS-485 communication port and Golden Rules Smart interface software, or via the display and magnetic switches in the instrument panel. The Golden Rules KC-2600GI allows you to configure or change the following password protected parameters:flow rang, totalize, time response, low flow cutoff and a calibration corection factor that compensates for flow profile flow variations. Golden Rules's Smart interface software guides you through a procedure to fully validate instrument performance. The meter is available with avarety of input signal, mounting and packaging option.
